Huntsville Police Department Statement-The Huntsville Police Department has remained confident in the District Attorney’s preparation and administration of this case, and today is the result of their hard work. We must commend our fellow officers and investigators who put their grief on hold August 29, 2005 and committed themselves to the investigation and documentation that also contributed to today’s verdict. This jury was a reflection of this community who supports law enforcement and the laws of this community. We must now continue to support the Golden family because today’s verdict does not bring back their son, their husband and our officer.
